August is here and it has turned out to be the busiest month of the year! I'm thrilled that clients are traveling and enjoying the many terrific destinations that are awaiting arrivals.

What's happening in the travel industry? Two big changes you need to know about...

Passports, visas, and passport renewals (among other changes) have raised rates- quite a bit. You should be aware of the changes and understand why. Don't let it stop you from getting your documents renewed or getting a new passport. Read the article that tells you more about why the Department of State made the decision to change these rates... www.travel.state.gov 

TSA, under the Secure Flight Program, has now entered into it's final phase. It requires us to report your FULL LEGAL name to them for every airline ticket issued. That means your first, middle and last- as it appears on the government issued ID that you intend to travel with. Additionally, we need to report each traveler's birth date, gender and, if traveling internationally, we'll need to report passport numbers and other information.TSA _ Website

Discover Your World Travel has a new division, called STATIONHOUSE TRAVEL and a new agent partner, Steve, working with us. Though a rookie in the travel industry he's learning quickly and having a great time doing it! He's no rookie in his own industry, he is a 22 year veteran in the law enforcement community. Definately, no stranger to the everyday work involved in the job of first responders.

Hawaii, its people and heritage is a special and unique place. Often called a healing place, Hawaii is both refresshing and renewing. I know that I return from an island vacation feeling revived and energized. I always feel embraced by the people of the islands and its beautiful spirit of aloha or hospitality.

Whether you are celebrating your survivorship, planning a girls getaway or honoring a loved one, a trip to Hawaii and the embrace of the Aloha spirit is a wonderful place of healing and rejuvenation!

My family has been deeply impacted by breast cancer and throughout my life this illness has touched me. These past couple of years, I've progressively seen friends, family and clients diagnosed.
